My art seeks to celebrate nature and to provide for it. As humans, I believe we first have to make our individual world a better place, for ourselves and all creatures in it. Exploration beyond our perceived world is essential and integral to my creative process.
My ceramics are mostly mid fired oxidation but im consistently experimenting with raku, pit and wood fire too. No two pieces are exactly the same, and always food, microwave, and dishwasher safe. I hope that by buying local art in conjunction with local food will make your supper talk that much better!
I make a simple living surrounded by handmade and homegrown in southern Maine. These are my beloved creatures- in this picture, Elaine, Beverly, and Shannon.
